Church Membership

Membership at Beth-El consists of the following commitments.

1. An individual recognition of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
2. Giving witness to faith in Christ by some form of believer's water baptism.
3. Accepting the New and Old Testament scripture as God's Word and Christ as God's fullest manifestation of Himself.
4. Meeting regularly with fellow believers, both as larger assembly and in small groups, for worship, training and fellowship.
5. Giving and receiving loving counsel and care as members of this particular body of Christ.
6. Responding to God's granting of gifts and abilities to for Kingdom use by giving of one's time in ministry, and a systematic proportionate giving of one's income.
7. Living a lifestyle based on the principle of love and non-violence as seen in Jesus Christ, with a desire to redeem persons and situations, not destroy them.
8. Being open to the ministry of the Holy Spirit for victorious living, service, and witness.
9. Being peacemakers in a broken world by sharing the Good News of God's love and reconciliation in deed and word with the lost, the lonely, and the poor.
10. Participating in the larger world-wide Christian family, recognizing that everyone who in truth calls Jesus Lord is part of our family.
